Kate Matson stopped working on her report and looked out of the window. It was beginning to rain and ominous dark clouds held out the threat of a heavy downpour. This year, the monsoon had arrived early in Mumbai. Kate was working on a report she had to present to her superiors the next week. She had come to Mumbai three weeks earlier – in late May – to do a summer internship with GAC, a US-based global aviation consulting company. Kate was doing her MBA in the U.S., with a major in international business. She had been delighted to get this internship opportunity at GAC.
